Asking for Christ’s Forgiveness
By Eric Symes Abbott
It does seem that people
Come to themselves when
They are able to repent and
Certainly when they are forgiven.
Love when it is true longs
To forgive. Forgiveness does not
Mean forgetting; it means
Remembering the past in a new way.
When we ask for Christ’s forgiveness,
The effect is that in so far as
The past is remembered again,
It will have lost its power to hurt us
And make us afraid.

Goodness is stronger than evil,
Love is stronger than hate,
Light is stronger than darkness,
Life is stronger than death.
In this place where I have seen despair give us all hope
Desmond Tutu

All requests are initially forwarded to Richard or Cynthia, who will forward them on as appropriate.
Here is an interesting prayer on Woman, spotted at the Kairos Centre.

Unless the eye catch fire
The God will not be seen
Unless the ear catch fire
The God will not be heard
Unless the tongue catch fire
The God will not be named
Unless the heart catch fire
The God will not be loved
Unless the mind catch fire
The God will not be known
William Blake
