Children at St Mark's

The Lions, The Eagles and The Doves

Children are made very welcome at St Marks. During the 10am Sunday service the children have their own Sunday Club in the Ark. There are also periodic Children's Services, typically once a month and at special times (e.g. Easter Sunday). You can find out when these services are by either looking at the diary of events or at the Sunday Club rota. The Sunday Club rota has links to material supporting the individual weekly themes explored.

If you have younger children (under threes) and they get restless during the service, you are welcome to take them into the chapel at the back of the church where there are toys and books to play with. The chapel is separated from the church by glass doors and the service is relayed to speakers inside, so you won't miss out.

There is a baby and toddlers' group every Monday at 1:30pm,

Our Youth Group

This group has been set up for the children about to start secondary school and older. See the  Youth Group home page

Past Activities

Preparation groups to prepare children for their first Holy Communion are run once or twice a year. Joanna Bowman wrote a poem following her first Holy Communion Preparation Group on 24th April.
