Poetry Evening at St Marks
Fiona organised a poetry evening back on January 25th in the Chapter Room - everybody welcome. Here is her report back:

Even on a cold and blustery evening, five stalwarts braved the elements and sat down to the background music of songs written by Robbie Burns and poetry read and remembered from the heart, plus a glass of the "good stuff".
We all read or recited our poems with passion. Thus enabling the meaning to be conveyed to listeners, and that we were. We were able to experience the reader's excitement and the understanding that the reader wished to share with each of the listeners.
The evening went "way" passed the two hours that were assigned for the Poetry reading and at 9:40 it was decided it really was time to leave.
Every one present felt the evening could be repeated again, on another evening further into the year.
