Worship
The worship at St. Mark’s is the focal point of our life together. Our main Sunday service is quite formal but also relaxed, dignified and friendly, with Sermons that aim to educate and inspire. There is always time afterwards for a chance to catch up with friends and new acquaintances over coffee in our hall and garden.
Our weekly pattern of services is:
Sunday
8am Holy Communion (in traditional language according to the Book of Common Prayer)
10am Parish Eucharist with Sunday Club groups for children aged 4 – 11
Evening Services occasionally
Wednesday
12.30pm Holy Communion
Please also see our calendar of forthcoming services
There is a lively Sunday Club for children of all ages which takes place during the service. The groups help the children to learn and grow in faith. Children are invited to receive communion from age five upwards following a course of preparation. Twice a term we have a special service for families with younger children.
We are active in Christian service. We support a range of local and global groups who provide practical support and spiritual care to poor, ill and vulnerable people. We also seek to protect the integrity of God’s creation by local action and global campaigning.
Our beautiful, modern church is a hidden gem in Wimbledon which inspires our people to worship.
